Buckle up for fascinating journeys on the most expansive continent, people, places, cultures, business, formidable beach and safari life. Africa is the world’s second - largest continent and arguably the best for memories of a lifetime. It is a natural land that hasn’t changed for centuries yet it transforms everyday.
The Travel Africa Magazine showcases the best of what Africa has to offer, think of Nightlife, epic road trips and beautiful beaches, millennia-old cultures and tribes, incredible landscapes, impressive waterfalls, Pyramids, and Nightlife. Travel magazine publishes 6 issues a year.
Based on current data and future projections, tourism in Africa is poised for significant growth and holds a promising outlook for the future. Among the emerging economies worldwide, tourism stands out as a key industry driving economic expansion and job opportunities. As of a decade ago, tourists were already injecting $295 billion annually into developing countries, a figure that surpasses three times the total overseas development assistance provided to the developing world during that time. However, with the decline of the COVID-19 crisis and the increasing interest in unexplored and remote travel destinations, the potential for tourism-driven development in Africa's emerging markets is expected to soar.
Furthermore, intra-African travel is projected to experience a remarkable surge in the coming decades. Factors such as rising average income levels and improved job security contribute to the emergence of a stable and growing middle class across the continent. This burgeoning middle class will likely drive a significant increase in travel within Africa itself.
Recognizing these opportunities, the Africa Business Association believes that fostering the growth of a robust tourism industry will directly and positively impact economic expansion. Encouraging investments in various sectors of the economy, including construction, infrastructure, local manufacturing, and consumer markets, is a direct result of promoting the development of the tourism sector. This approach not only drives economic growth but also ensures diversification and productivity across different segments of the economy.
Travelers are already thinking ahead to how they’ll book and pay for future trips. With the increase in flexible booking options, respondents are ready to book now, with 56% of respondents indicating that they miss traveling so much that they are willing to book a trip even if they might have to cancel it in the future
